You are a simple little creature,
Wriggly little browny worm.
You live beneath the earth, so dirty;
Don't come on up, your skin will burn.

Be careful where you wriggle wormy,
Lest my spade slices right through.
I've heard you can survive the slicing;
Where there once was one, there'll now be two.

Oh what a slimy little wormy,
No external eyes to see.
Creeping, crawling, sliding slowly;
