Description

Lee Child. Never Go Back: Published by Bantum Press in 2013. Page 134.

Second attempt at found poetry.

It reads:

There, much earlier,
for a reason -- routine whisper.
A(n) identity not known...
feeling was good.

Getting the hell out...not!

Secret meetings busted until worse -- how?
They're dead.

  • Did the poet intervene on the text? Meaning, is this something new, or is it merely a summarized version of the original text?
    I don't think I get this piece :(
  • Does the work fit in the category that it's been placed?
I like the non-visual rendition better.
  • Can you hear the poet's voice in the new narrative?
I'm too lost to hear you calling...
  • Does the poem work on it's own? Grammatically and syntactically, is it solid, just like a non-found poem should be?
I'm wandering the halls of an old English Manor
  • Is there a narrative here, or is it just a list? Does the poem SAY anything?
I think I'll just sit here and mind my own business.  I didn't see anything
