Nymph
15-12-14

The water’s still, she doesn’t mind
As she flits about, she won’t hide
From you or me or anyone
‘til dusk is dawn and dawn is done.
She’s lived there a long time and will remain there ‘til
Leaves have all dried up again and the water’s still.

Her bed is moss, the birds her dawn
As they harken in the new morn.
She doesn’t care what ‘tis they do,
Their colours are her sunrise too.
She sits throughout day and night until day is lost,
Dusk harkens in the silence, and her bed is moss.
DFC #18 - Wrapped Refrain
"The Wrapped Refrain is another Jan Turner invention. This one features two or more 6-line stanzas. The first four lines have 8  syllables each and the last two have 12 each. The first 4 syllables (or 4 syllable words) in the first line become the last 4 syllables in the  last line. This is what wraps up each stanza – hence the name."

Pretty! I especially like the second stanza.
