School
[50 Breaking the Rules]
13-02-08
(For Allan, my brother)
Society has a simple rule:
While you grow-up you go to school.
When there you learn your A-B-Cs,
How to count, to write, to read.
Youre shown worlds of wonder that arent your own,
Taught values, morals, and how theyve grown.
You learn the rights of your own land,
And you grow up to become a decent man.
This knowledge is here to help you grow,
Cos youre only as strong as what you know.
You break our hearts when you break this rule:
So sort yourself out and go to school.

He stayed away about 90% of Grade 8 and failed.
The school wouldn't have him back the next year (who would blame them) so he then went into Grade 10 in a new school...
...he stayed away most of that year and failed too.
Now he is staying away again.
